A day is tended when you offer at least one of the triad. Today can stay pending without breaking the streak — the fire dims overnight but only goes out when a whole day passes untended. If it does go out, the flame and the room’s furnishings begin again, but your ledger keeps every entry you ever offered. Nobody keeps a fire for a millennium — they keep it for a watch, and hand it on.

The first page is always open. Each full day — all three of the triad offered — kindles one more of the sixteen. The Words (glossary) and The Long Road are always open.

Yes, through your own private iCloud, automatically, if you’re signed into iCloud on both devices. There are no accounts and no servers of ours involved — see the privacy policy. If iCloud is off, everything stays safely on the device.

Tap the bell (top right of The Fire), check the toggle is on and the hour is right. Then check iOS Settings → Notifications → Pendar-e Nik is allowed. Remember: the summons is only sent while the day’s triad is unfinished — on a completed day, silence is the design.

The widget refreshes whenever you make an offering and about every ten minutes otherwise, rolling over exactly at midnight. If it ever seems stuck, opening the app nudges it; removing and re-adding the widget resets it completely.

The temple dresses for the three fires of the year: Jashn-e Sadeh (January 30), Chaharshanbe Suri (the eve and day of the last Wednesday before Nowruz), and Nowruz (March 20–21). Tap the banner on those days for the story and tonight’s customs.

Nothing — that’s the point. Every feature is free and stays free. Sandalwood is pure gratitude; it feeds the keeper, and the fire notices. Tips are consumable, so there’s nothing to restore.
