What NowBat stores, and where

• Usage timers (window and weekly reset times, percentages you paste from Claude’s own usage panel) — stored on your device.
• Your task queue, session history, focus sessions and settings — stored on your device.
• On the Mac, with your explicit one-time permission, NowBat reads Claude Code’s local transcript files to detect your usage window and compute statistics. This reading happens entirely on your Mac; transcript contents are never uploaded anywhere and never leave your machine.

iCloud sync (optional, off by default)

If you enable Settings → iCloud Sync, your accounts, queue, history and settings sync between your devices using Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit), tied to your Apple Account. This data is stored in your private iCloud database. The developer has no access to it, no servers of his own, and no way to read it. Turn sync off at any time; data then stays local.

Calendar, notifications and motion

• Calendar (optional): if enabled, NowBat reads upcoming events on-device to suggest focus lengths, and can write completed focus sessions to your calendar. Event details are never transmitted.
• Notifications: reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
• Motion: device tilt animates the bat. Motion data is used in the moment and never stored.

Purchases

The Pro unlock is processed entirely by Apple’s App Store. NowBat never sees your payment details. Apple’s receipt (a purchase entitlement) is checked on-device.

What NowBat does not do

• No analytics or telemetry, first- or third-party.
• No advertising, no tracking, no fingerprinting.
• No accounts, emails, or passwords.
• No data sales — there is nothing to sell.
• No access to your Claude conversations’ contents by the developer, ever.

Data deletion

Delete the app and its on-device data is gone. If you used iCloud Sync, also remove NowBat’s data under iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage. That’s the complete erasure procedure — there is no server-side copy to request.

Children

NowBat is a productivity tool rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, children included.
